Better Earth is proud to be an earth friendly retail store for 21 years.  Started in May 1991, Better Earth has been a part of the Columbus earth friendly scene and I am truly grateful to all the wonderful residents and visitors who have stopped in during these years, shopped, and intentionally supported our store.   Thank  you so much.  Dareen

Welcome to Better Earth!

We are a natural products general store and gift shop located in Columbus' historic North Market. Established in 1991, our mission is to offer our customers quality products that are carefully selected to promote responsibility to the planet and to enrich and foster the community experience.

Better Earth offers local shoppers and visitors alike a unique variety of  personal care, household cleaning products,  hand made soaps and artisan made gift items.  We also carry locally crafted soy candles, perfume and fragrance oils, essential oils, a variety of incense.  Our card selection offers many lines of beautiful as well as fun-loving styles and greetings.  We also sell Traditional Medicine and Yogi herbal and medicinal teas along with a small selection of vitamins and supplements.   

Better Earth's General Store carries the entire line of local P.W.I. brand "Kombucha" brewed to perfection in small batches and made right here in central Ohio.   Along with this, our grocery items include organic food mixes,  a large selection of gluten free foods, Amish jams, relishes, maple syrup and pie fillings from northern Ohio. 

Locally made hand crafted beaded jewelry, vintage jewelry, and more are part of the shopping experience along with pottery made by Columbus potter Lynda Fromm.   Quilted handbags from Donna Sharp, silk and velour scarves from Dana Herbert are more of what you can find at Better Earth.

And OF COURSE....BUCKEYE SOUVENIERS and gift items are abundant at Better Earth.  Come in and enjoy the selection. Better Earth is an eclectic, earthy shopping experience filled with a unique selection of products and gifts.
