We are a natural products general store and gift shop located in Columbus' historic North Market. Established in 1991, our mission is to offer our customers quality products that are carefully selected to promote responsibility to the planet and to enrich and foster the community experience.

Announcing Better Earth Beyond Beads...
This year we expanded by opening our new store Better Earth Beyond Beads, also in the Short North. We have collaborated with Theresa Colson of TLC Designs to create a jewelry and bead shop that offers gemstone beads, jewelry-making tools, pre-made beaded jewelry, and wire-wrapped gemstones fashioned by local artists. Theresa, the store's featured in-house jewelry designer, offers pre-made and custom-designed pieces−all one-of-a-kind creations, as well as beading classes.

In addition, Beyond Beads now offers one-of-a-kind designer vintage glass beads from Germany and Japan from the 1920s to the 1960s. These pressed glass beads are no longer made and are a rare find. Don't miss this rare opportunity!

We provide well-known personal care products such as Burt's Bees, Kiss My Face, and Grandpa's Soaps; household cleaning products by Seventh Generation and Ecover; organic cotton socks from Maggie's; Castile soaps by Dr. Bronner's; and much more.

In addition, we offer aromatherapy products, herbal teas, and clothing and accessories. Cat fanciers will enjoy colorful, fanciful Laurel Burch cat items, including cat magnet vases for the refrigerator, socks, mugs, and more.

We also offer a wonderful assortment of items from around the world, including hand-blown glass perfume bottles from Egypt, gifts and crafts acquired through SERRV (a non-profit organization that supports third world country artisans), cotton clothing from India, sterling silver and gemstone jewelry from Poland, Nepal, India, Thailand, and the United States.

Better Earth features handcrafted gifts from local Columbus artists, including pottery by Lynda Fromm, beautiful hand-blown glass paperweights by Robert Eickholt, unicorns from The Calico Managerie, and officially-sanctioned Ohio State Buckeye collectibles. We also offer quality incense and perfume oils from Central Ohio and a wide assortment of beautiful hand-crafted and sterling silver jewelry.
